Blogging for MLM Success Part 1 gave you the underlying reasons why you must to have an successful blog. Yet, what are the specific steps to do it? You don't want to create a blog just for the sake of having a blog. This can truly hurt any previous attempt you have done to brand yourself on the internet. If you build a blog that isn't high quality, this will leave a damaging impression in the viewers' mind. Once this impression is made, it will take 10 times more work to reverse it. It takes about 7-13 seconds to make a first impression with your blog, so keep this in mind while you are constructingyours. Creating a MLM successful blog can be accomplished a few different ways. The first way, and obviously the easiest, is to pay someone to set it up for you. There are professional website designers who make their living creating blogs. The quality of website and the amount charged per site varies greatly. So if you chooseto go this direction, I would first do some research. Betternetworker.com is a great place to go for references. Even if you do pay someone to form your blog, you will need to take some time later to consider how the site actually works so you are able to keep up with it. Other people prefer to set up their blog on their own because it doesn't require any out of pocket expense. This option is more lengthy because there is a learning aspect involved. When developing a blog on your own, you first need to decide whether to use a free hosted blog, or to pay for a self-hosting blog. These two options are not the same and will give you different results. Typically when deciding between paying for something or getting it for free, most people would choose the free version. Now when it comes to blogs, you have to think of your desired outcome. If you want to have a personal website for your friends and family to keep tabs on you, then the free version would suit you just fine. However, if you are trying to build a blog for MLM success, then this positively isn't the case. What you're looking for is a self-hosted blog. A free blog won't give you the customization you need to set yourself apart. Furthermore with a free blog, you are not the owner of your content. Your site is managed by the hosting company, and your stuff belongs to them. Your blog may be suspended without any warning if they feel you have violated any of their policies, and everything will be lost. I personally know someone who this happened to, and it is not anything you would want to have happen to you.. for a company to host it for you.. Now this expense is minimal and usually under $9 a month. The two companies that I would recommend for hosting are GoDaddy or Host Gator. These both have simple installation setup for a Wordpress blog. I say Wordpress, because this is the most efficient blogging platform online. If you're going to do it right, you want to use the one with the most options, and the greatest support. However, note that Wordpress has two different options. Wordpress.com is the free site, and Wordpress.org is the self-hosted site. Now for the nitty-gritty details! If you are ready to start blogging for MLM success, then you now have the information to move forward. Yet, like I said, it can be difficult if you do not have somewhere to go for help. I set up my entire blog on my own. Before makingit, I had never even attempted to create a site in my life. I had to learn some simple html and css (which I did by searching Google) to create the look I wanted, it took quite a few hours because I'm a perfectionist. However, I had the advantage of using a training webinar that was over 1.5 hours of specific steps on exactly how to setup a self-hosted Wordpress blog for optimum success.
