But in actual practice the less we eat, the hungrier we get. Missing food in any time of the day is the main cause of getting hungry. So a proper diet should be taken throughout the day and a minimum of twelve hundred to thirteen hundred calories should be taken everyday and the amount should be increased if you exercise daily.

What are Fat Replacers

Fat replacers are a new type of food-substitute. Typically made from starches, gums or cellulose, fat replacers are used to manufacture lower-fat and lower-calorie versions of regular high-fat foods. In other words, fat replacers allow consumers to enjoy lower fat versions of their favorite foods, whilst meeting dietary recommendations for calories, cholesterol and reduced fat intake.

How Many Calories do Fat Replacers Have?

The calorie-content of fat replacers varies. Carbohydrates and proteins have 4 calories per gram while fats have 9 calories per gram. Thus carb-based fat replacers contain four calories per gram but many provide significantly fewer calories, often only one calorie per gram, as used (mixed with water). Cellulose contains zero calories per gram. Fat-based fat replacers have 6-9 calories per gram but are typically used in very small amounts. Other fat-based fat replacers (eg. Olestra) provide few or no calories.

One thing which needs to be kept in mind is that a healthy and safe diet plan should be opted. Go for a slow and steady weight loss so that the body gets adjusted to the changes. Drastic weight loss diets harm your body in the long run. While selecting the diet make sure all the vitamins and nutrients essential for the body is incorporated. Most of the diet plans cut down your fat consumption drastically but some amount of good fat is required by the body and make sure you consume that minimum amount of good fat. Products like olive oil and flaxseed oil contain healthy fat that can be consumed.

A vegetarian diet is better than meat protein based diets. Vegetables and fruits fulfill your nutritional requirements and keep fat consumption low. Certain vegetables contain protein which is equal to the amount of protein found in meat and the plus point is vegetables do not contain fat unlike meat products.
