Whether you’re looking for an adventure holiday, a spa break or just some time lying on a beach, you’ll be able to find it all in France.

Each of the 22 regions in France has something different to offer its visitors. They each have their own charm, people and history.

Here are just a few places in France that you could visit on your holidays.

Paris

One of the most romantic cities in the world. Here you will find the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Opera, the Sacre-Coeur and Saint Germain amongst many other sites.

Alsace

There are strong French and German influences in this area and a variety of wine and charismatic villages.

Burgundy

An area known for its fine wines such as; Chablis, Auxerre and Dijon to name a few. However, knowing your wine is not a prerequisite for visiting the area, it has a lot more to offer.

Britany

This coastal area is very unique and has long been a popular choice with tourists. There are some of the best beaches in Europe in this region.

Normandy

A very green region and a fisherman’s village, renowned for its famous cheese. WWII tours and medieval art are also on offer here.

Picardie

Tourists who are looking for history will love this area. It boasts one of the most beautiful French cathedrals. This region will take people back to the Middle Ages.

Nord-Pas-de-Calais

This region is the first many British tourists see when they arrive in France from the Channel. It is known for its industrial past and the region has now turned to tourism.
