When it comes to people that are actively seeking to participate in a business opportunity that is in the realm of multilevel marketing there are two distinct categories.

In the first category there are people who never before participated into a network marketing company but they know about them, at least in theory, and one day they decided to investigate if that industry is a viable option for starting their home based business.

Unfortunately that group is a small one as most individuals that want to start their own business are searching for a business opportunity in general and not something specific as our first group.

In the second category there people who participated before into an MLM company as distributors and are pretty aware of what they are looking for and they are the dream of every marketer to recruit them to his network as they carry some experience. They've been before into this and they know the ins and outs of our industry.

When they search they are looking for facts and in-depth information of where they are getting. They learned to avoid hype and be cautious before committing themselves into a new endeavor. They've seen a lot during the time that they were distributors and developed renitency in order to protect themselves for possible scams disguised under the veil of network marketing.

In order to attract these people you need to talk to their language. Save the hype and canned responses and tactics. They don't bite. They want facts. They want much more info and all the details in order to decide. They want to know about you and your team. What can you teach them and how. Why you and your company.

Be prepared for a lot of talking and countless questions when you target them. Know in depth about your company, your product and your opportunity. They can be a real asset to your business but they are hard to convert.

Of course among them there are many individuals that jump from the one company to the other chasing get rich quick opportunities and avoid the work like the plague. Such people won't stay long with you as the time they join with you they are already searching for the next big thing to participate that would magically transform their financial condition.
