Portable Grills Where I Take Mine

By: Sinead Douglas

Almost everyone has felt the pleasure of eating outside when the weather is good. There is something quite wonderful about cooking your meal and eating it outside. Maybe it comes from the fact that way back our ancestors ate under the stars. I have used gas grills for many years now, and the pleasure I get out of my weber portable grill is endless.

I don't just limit its use to my own backyard but I take it with me on so many of our most unforgettable trips. Our portable baby can be seen in our family photo albums.

If you either own, or intend to own one, then don't waste it by only cooking on it in your how home. You are leaving so much fun on the table. I get so much more out of mine. If you get the right portable grill then it should be lightweight enough to easily carry around with you, and tough enough to handle all the bangs and bashes it gets when you throw it around, in and out of the car etc.. These are just some of the places you should consider taking your grill to:

Bring it with you when you go visiting your friends. Even if they have their own grill, when there is a crowd together, there is always a requirement for another. Works really well if you have strict vegetarians who don't like their food types mixed, or cooked with meat.

Most open air swimming baths now have areas expecially for you and your kids to have a meal so take it with you there.

The beach is a great place to fire up your grill.

Take it to the park, many parks have a cooking and eating area, it's great if you don't have a garden, or your back garden is too small for a larger crowd.

Just throw it in the back of your car on a family excursion, pull over when you find a great spot, and start grilling. Not only does it save on the cost of meals when you are out and about, but is far more fun and at least you know what you are eating and where it has been cooked.
