By: Aubrey Moulton

Learning is becoming a top priority to deployed military.

The Marines offer to help to soldiers start their education. Forbes completed 71 credits while enlisted and is working towards a degree in human resources.

“With how things are here in Iraq, there is no excuse why every Marine can’t take at least one course while here,” says Master Sgt. James Emch. “If they want to better themselves and situate themselves up for sucess, they should jump at the opportunity.”

Deployed soldiers can acquire up to 100 percent of their educational costs compensated for by the government through programs like the Montgomery GI Bill, the Marine Corpse College Fund, and Tuition Assistance..

“The best time for Marines to pursue their schooling is when they're in the Corps, not when they get out,” says an education technician at Camp Courtney in Japan.

A acquaintance said he should visit ClassesandCareers.com, a free classes online information resource. In just a few minutes minutes, users can fill out a form and be connected live with an education advisor.

Noble is now more than halfway through his bachelors in finance. "It's been very convenient for me to continue my schooling while I am enlisted,” Noble said. “I ought to finish right before I am released and will be able to go straight into a Masters Program.”
