The MLM Sales Concept

Many distributors tend to forget that we are in the business of making sales. That of product sales. Unfortunately they concentrate on selling the opportunity and try to recruit new members believing that the only way to succeed is by building a huge organization of distributors with few if any customers in it.

Of course by doing this they don't understand that they are hurting their business and hampering its growth. But it's not solely their fault. Most of them are only duplicating the method they have been taught from their sponsor. Their upline never train them on this aspect of the business cause they don't know either how to do it or scorn it as a waste of time, preaching that the money is in recruiting.

When they go out and try to duplicate that behavior they've been taught they are facing a great problem. They advertise that they can help you make money by joining their company and that they can teach you how to succeed and make a fortune. In reality they themselves make no dime from their Network Marketing business and worse they even losing money in various fees and product autoship.

If the prospect ask them how much they are making they try to avoid giving an answer or worse lie to them. They know that hardly someone would join under them if they know he is not earning any money at all. Of course that hinters their organization's growth, if it ever starts at any point. Down the road after months of frustration and disappointment they quit since they have done nothing all this time.

But what if they moved the other way when they were starting and they started working on acquiring customers?

Well, our distributor could have used the Internet and set up an automated system that would drive traffic to his product website and close sales. Some of the products produced by multi-level marketing companies are of superior quality and wouldn't be hard to be sold to customers. At least is much more easier to sell the product than the opportunity.

Now he is already in profits without any downline at all. Imagine now to go and start looking to recruit new people. Now his prospects would be more willing to join his opportunity and not only that, but from the first day he can start teaching them how to really make money by copying his method. That way he is starting to build an organization filled with successful marketers and a huge customer base that is earning him much much more money than he would have ever dreamed of making if he had followed the “usual” way.
