Use Flyers To Advertise

By: Colleen Davis

Flyers are great marketing materials that are effective advertising agents without your having to shell out much from your budget. And if you decide to do your flyer printing project yourself, you have to remember a few things when creating your flyer printing design.

1 – Remember to design your flyer printing project to attract your target readers’ attention. Hence, you need to design something different and out-of-the-ordinary with your flyers. Instead of the usual black on white, use instead bright and cheerful colors not only on your flyer printing text but also with the paper stock you’re going to use.

2 – Use your flyer printing pieces to promote what you can do and how you can solve your target readers’ problems; not to let people know your name. Your business card printing piece can do that for you. This is the time to use your flyer printing project to sell and sell hard.

3 – Include a freebie and incentive for your target readers to act immediately on your flyer printing message.

4 – Include testimonials in your flyer printing project to affirm your problem-solving abilities. Even if you’re the greatest in your industry, you won’t be able to convince your target readers about it if no one will affirm what you have spoken of constantly. Testimonials and comments from satisfied clients would make your advertising speech more concrete, and that somebody actually benefited from your business.

5 – “…please pass this flyer to someone who might need of our services.” Such words in your flyer printing project allows your target readers to pass on your flyers to others who are really in need of your business, hence, more inclined to take action and purchase what you have to offer.

6 - Use both sides of your flyer printing piece. Most business owners and designers forget that this part of the flyer can also be used to effectively market your business. When you’re working on a tight budget every space and portion of your paper should be optimized. List your special events, sales, and even your testimonials to make this part of your flyer printing piece valuable.

7 – When at first you don’t succeed, try and try again. This should be the motto of all business owners who are working on any kind of marketing material, be it flyer printing material, poster printing, postcard printing pieces, and even in your catalogs and brochures. Always follow-up with another flyer printing project until you finally get the result you desire.

8 – Always look at each of your flyer printing project as an experiment to get the right response from your target clients. Test your flyers constantly. Use incentives or freebies, a different shade on your flyer printing paper, an unusual design – the bottom line is to see which ones will finally get the positive response you desire for your flyer printing piece.

9 – Always work according to your target market. Focus on your target audience. It will help you save money, as well as make sure that your flyer printing project is completed in a timely manner.
