What is a Web Proxy?

By: aaroah sunil

Most of the people, who know about Web Proxies, have a grin on their face. It is something that saved many people and at the same time gave leeway for many people to explore sites that they were not supposed to. Most of the schools and offices and other institutions ban any number of websites and this is where a proxy comes in handy as it lets you happily browse without a care in the world. This is what you call "Where there is a will there is a way".

So how does this really cool thing work? (Well this for ones, who have no idea what we were talking about)

A network bans a website either by its IP, its name or part of its name. A web proxy makes sure that it only shows its own address to the network and not your actual address. The administrator of the network will obviously not suspect anything and you are free to browse the site that is banned. The only thing that might happen is that the administrator is banning the web proxy as well, but this is not a big deal either. There are a lot of other web proxies on the net, so all you have to do is to get another proxy and go to the banned website again! Yes don’t give up! This is foolproof and most of the proxies are free.

So if your geeky bro blocked out face book or your favorite gaming site, then the best thing to do is to get a proxy! Just Google it!
